The CleanFlex® product range has been extended by several new developments. For example, certain variants of sterilisable Tyvek®/HDPE bags have been equipped with opening aids in order to meet the requirements of genuinely convenient packaging for the medical sector. In addition, disposable transfer systems are now also available with flexible PE instead of the previous, rigid stainless steel components. | These innovations were presented to a wide audience at the ComPaMED 2006 in Düsseldorf. ComPaMED takes place as part of MEDICA, the world's largest medical trade fair. Around 137,500 specialists obtained information on the latest products and services for hospitals, doctors' practices, physiotherapy or rehabilitation centres. Some 10 percent of these visitors journey to Düsseldorf specifically to attend ComPaMED, which also presents trends from the fields of medical technology, electronic medicine and nanotechnology in addition to packaging. | The CleanFlex® sales team was delighted at the high number of enquiries from the international audience. Amongst other aspects, the number of prospective, foreign customers, around 40 percent, was attributable to increased attendance from the new EU member states. Significant investment is currently being undertaken within the industry in these states. A survey conducted as part of the trade fair underlined the market's general growth trend. According to the data which were collected, almost 90 percent of specialist visitors attended the event due to an imminent, relevant investment decision. According to the survey, 70 percent of visitors have the final say or are significantly involved in the decision – a promising environment for Bischof + Klein's progressive CleanFlex® product range. |
