The economic revival in Germany, the world's second largest medical technology market after the USA, was also felt at the COMPAMED 2007, which takes place each November at the same time as the MEDICA in Düsseldorf.

The MEDICA, the world's largest medical trade fair, attracted almost 137,000 international visitors throughout the event as a whole. The COMPAMED also benefited from this, setting a new record with almost 13,000 specialist attendees. Here, 460 exhibitors presented their range of materials, components, preliminary products, packaging and services, up to and including complex microsystem technology and nanotechnology, for the medical market. This was an increase of 45 percent on 2006, with the result that, for the first time, the trade fair was held in two exhibition halls with almost twice the floor space.

With its CleanFlex® product range, Bischof + Klein again felt completely at home here and, thanks to good preparation in advance of the trade fair, also received several very concrete enquiries from potential customers.

The importance of packaging in this market was underlined by the fact that approx. 10 percent of the COMPAMED exhibitors are involved in this field. It was also very clear that B+K's CleanFlex® clean room production facility remains unique.
