The main arguments in favour of establishing this state-of-the-art logistical centre included the separation of picking and warehousing activities, and concentrating material provisioning, finished product storage and transportation in one location. This leads to significantly faster and smoother processing – in the form of order picking at night, for example.

It also results in additional synergy effects: we not only store finished products in the logistical centre, but also our suppliers' raw materials; these can then be called off precisely when required for production. Our intention is to gradually integrate other suppliers into this efficient concept.
